Hi everyone,
I’m new to 100Audio. I’ve been working as a music composer for several years, licensing my music through Envato and other marketplaces, and I’m currently looking for new platforms that might be a good fit for my work. I came across 100Audio and was immediately interested in it.
However, after submitting my first two tracks (which were rejected), I realized that I’m struggling to understand a couple of points in the submission guidelines. I’m sure there are things I’m missing, so I’d really appreciate it if someone could help me understand them.
**1) Ableton Live 12 and MIDI export**
I use Ableton Live 12, and as far as I know, it isn’t possible to export all MIDI clips into a single MIDI file. Why can’t separate MIDI files be accepted? Is there a specific reason for this requirement?
Does this mean I have to use a different DAW just to prepare submissions for 100Audio, or is there another workflow or workaround that Ableton users commonly use? If so, I’d be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction.
**2) Audio recordings, loops, and MIDI requirements**
I’m also not entirely sure whether a track can be accepted if it doesn’t contain MIDI tracks—for example, if it consists of recorded audio such as guitar and bass, together with samples and loops from properly licensed libraries such as Splice.
From what I’ve understood, MIDI seems to be a fundamental requirement for submissions, but I’m not sure why. Is that really the case, or have I misunderstood the guidelines?
Thank you very much to anyone who takes the time to reply. Any clarification or advice would be greatly appreciated.
07/21/2026 08:58 #4188662Hi,
Due to the proliferation of AI-generated music at present, the review department has tightened requirements for supporting documentation.
Ableton seems to have a plugin that can merge split MIDI files, called ClipCombiner, maybe you can try it.
In short, you must submit a single complete MIDI file. Submissions containing only multi-track audio or separate split MIDI tracks will be rejected.
Additionally, if your track uses real recorded instruments with no MIDI production involved, you may attach a written statement for reviewers to verify your work.
Thank you for your understanding.07/21/2026 15:34 #4188799Hi,
I’ve got it. Thank you for your suggestions and for the time you’ve spent with me.07/21/2026 21:35 #4188889Hi,
I installed ClipCombiner successfully in Ableton Live 12.2.7 and created a very simple test project with three MIDI tracks and one empty destination clip.
The device recognizes both the tracks and the clips correctly, but pressing Generate (with Auto both on and off) doesn’t produce any result.
Could you please tell me if I’m missing a step, or if there’s a short tutorial or example project available?
Thank you very much.

It could be a version issue or an incorrect operation, but I can’t determine the exact cause. Here’s some help documentation for this plugin that you can refer to: Most Probable Causes
1. Target Clip Not Selected (Most Common)
ClipCombiner needs to know which clip to output to. Before clicking “Generate,” select the blank target clip.2. Device Placed on the Incorrect Track
The device must be placed on the target track (the track containing the blank clip), not the source track.3. Clip Not Selected in Drop-down Menu
Selecting only the track without a specific clip will cause the device to fail silently. For each source, select both “Track” and “Clip” from the two drop-down menus.4. Mixed Session/Arrangement Views
The device can only work in one view at a time. Both the source and target clips must be in the Session View or both in the Arrangement View; they cannot be in different views.5. Looping Clips in the Arrangement View
If the source clips are displayed in a loop (with parentheses at both ends), the device will only copy the first segment. Solution: Select the source clip → Right-click → Consolidate → Then use ClipCombinerIt could be a version issue or an incorrect operation, but I can’t determine the exact cause. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation. I really appreciate your help.
I’ll carefully go through each of the points you mentioned and test ClipCombiner again following your instructions.
Thanks again for taking the time to help me.
