Hi all,
Allow us to present you another exclusivity option for non-exclusive authors who want to earn more. 100Audio China-Exclusive is now online. The commission rate will be increased to 55% (your total revenue will increase by 37.5%) after the non-exclusive author is upgraded to the China-exclusive author, without affecting the author’s sales in overseas channels. Submit your application now and become a China-exclusive author.
What is China-Exclusive?
China-Exclusive: authorize 100Audio as the only sales channel in the People’s Republic of China. After signing up as a China-exclusive author, items uploaded on 100Audio cannot be uploaded to other music platforms within the territory of the People’s Republic of China (including but not limited to QQ Music, Douban Music, Netease Music, etc.) for sale or download.
Differences between China-exclusive, (worldwide) exclusive and non-exclusive authors:
The application process for China-exclusive
1. Please download the China Exclusive or Exclusive contract, print it out and sign.
2. Scan or take pictures of the contract with signatures.
3. E-mail us with the scanned contract files or pictures to global@mail.100audio.com.
4. Complete the form on this page and submit.
5. If your submission is approved, your commission rate will be changed automatically.Note:
Non-exclusive authors can choose to upgrade directly to China-exclusive or exclusive. However, China-exclusive or exclusive authors are not able to downgrade to non-exclusive authors. If necessary, consider making a new account.
08/21/2018 at 14:54 #780374Hi to All
I am the exclusive author on your site and sell music only on your site.
According to the new rules, as the exclusive author of my commission will be 70%
Although I sell music only on your site, it would be more profitable for me to be just an exclusive author of 70% and not to China-Exclusive 55%?08/21/2018 at 17:04 #780460Hello TrendMaker,
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, in your case, as an exclusive author it is more profitable for you than being a China-exclusive author.
We provide this as another option to authors. Non-exclusive authors can balance according to their situations.
09/09/2018 at 15:31 #788258Hello. If i will register here as a China exclusive in the beginning, may i change my account to Exclusive Author?
09/09/2018 at 18:43 #788307I think so
01/23/2019 at 18:14 #870847Hello!) How long will my China-exclusive contract be approved, please? I’ve signed it and sent you on 2 January.
01/24/2019 at 10:38 #871807Hi PetrKiselev,
Your contract has been approved. Please kindly check.
Hope that helps.
04/02/2019 at 17:54 #994737Hi, what does China-exclusive really mean? My work is on other sites like Pond5, Audiojungle, MotionElements. Are any of these sell my work to China? How can I check? What are the requirements to choose a China-Exclusive agreement?
04/02/2019 at 18:24 #994811Hi dear,
1. If you choose China-Exclusive, then you could only authorize 100audio as the only sales channel in the People’s Republic of China.
2. And you are having the freedom to sell the same tracks to other foreign platforms. If you could make sure those platforms don’t belong to China. Then it will be no problem and you are eligible to register as our China-Exclusive author. For example, audiojungle and pond5 doesn’t belong to China. Then it would be ok.Hope that helps.
04/02/2019 at 18:27 #994822I understand, but when I checked motionelements on alexa, they seem to have Chinese visitors to their website. Does this mean, they belong to China?
04/02/2019 at 23:36 #995503Their website says they are based in Singapore, but their website has some Chinese IP. I’m confused.
04/03/2019 at 09:43 #996384Hi dear,
1. It is reasonable to see authors or visitors from all over the world on one site.
2. For identifying whether it belongs to China or not, you could look into their introduction or ask them directly for help.Have a nice day and hope that helps.

Their website says they are based in Singapore, but their website has some Chinese IP. I’m confused.
Did you ever find out if MotionElements is a Chinese based company or not? I’m not sure about signing my contract with 100Audio if I’m going to screw up all my other assets on other platforms.
Would love to hear what you found out – thanks!
05/09/2019 at 02:38 #1052952And what the hell is the “10.7% Poundage” that they take right off the top? Automatically makes it so that the commission for Chinese Exclusive is less than 50%, which is standard on all the other platforms where I sell production music.
Any ideas?
05/13/2019 at 13:52 #1059078Hi jimmadsen,
The mentioned 10.7% poundage, abiding by the Individual Income Tax Law of the People’s Republic of China, is for everyone who is involved in the business in China.
China-exclusive authors on 100Audio would share 55% of their income after paying the mandatory tax themselves.
Hope that helps.12/06/2019 at 11:46 #1572766Hello.
I have an Exclusive in China contract for 100audio.com.
Two questions:
1. Can I publish my portfolio on vfinemusic.com (on non-exclusive)?
2. Can I change Exclusive in China to non-exclusive for 100audio.com?12/06/2019 at 13:18 #1572863Hi StockXL,
No for your two questions. Actually your two questions’ answers have been mentioned in our first comment on this topic. But to better support:
1. China-Exclusive means to authorize 100Audio as the ONLY sales channel in the People’s Republic of China. Tracks uploaded on 100Audio cannot be uploaded to other music platforms within the territory of the People’s Republic of China for sale or download.
2. China-exclusive or exclusive authors are not able to downgrade to non-exclusive authors.
Hope that helps.
12/10/2019 at 02:12 #1579018Hello. Tell me please, can i upload tracks on Jamendo with my “China exclusive” account?
12/10/2019 at 10:01 #1579803Hi SealSong,
We are not too familiar with this platform.
But for such cases, authors only need to ensure that 100Audio is the only sales channel within the territory of the People’s Republic of China (including but not limited to QQ Music, Douban Music, Netease Music, etc.) for sale or download. Then there will be no problem for those uploaded tracks on 100Audio.
Hope that helps.
12/10/2019 at 15:34 #1580487I understand that the Central office of the company should not be located in the territory of the people’s Republic of China. For example, Audiojungle and Pond5 are not in China, but citizens of the Republic of China can buy in these markets?
