Hi, i am new on your website and hope we make big sales together. My question is that in the contract i have not seen any mention about Youtube Content ID. I dont have any music in the Youtube content ID system and i dont want to have my music into it. I suppose 100audio will not include any music in youtube´s Content ID system. Am i right?
    Thank you!

    Hi,ImagineScores

I see that what you signed is a non-exclusive agreement, so we have no restrictions on uploading works on other platforms.
Regarding the issue of YouTube, due to some political reasons in China, YouTube is not available in China, so it is not specifically stated in the contract.

Hello again, i think you did not understand the question or do not know what is the CONTENT ID, i will put you the definition of what that is:

“Content ID is a digital fingerprinting system developed by Google which is used to easily identify and manage copyrighted content on YouTube. Videos uploaded to YouTube are compared against audio and video files registered with Content ID by content owners, looking for any matches”.

Lot of companies like yours, dont want musicians included in youtube content ID system ( I am in youtube, but not in the CONTENT ID system )( understand the difference? My music is in youtube but “not fingerprinted” )

There are other companies like yours that put the musicians music into Youtube CONTENT ID SYSTEM, ( those companies or music shops, i dont want to upload or sell my music )

I can guess that your company dont use the CONTENT ID fingerprinting of youtube, because youtube is forbidden in China, but that doesnt mean that a Chineese customer of yours can use a music of some musician included in CONTENT ID, put it in youtube and have a claim and by the way, you have an headache.

if you want, i can show you parts of some companies that specifically write about this issue to musicians before uploading, but preferrable in private. This is for good of your company to know and save you headaches in future.

    Hi,

There is some misunderstanding on your part of contend ID in general. The claim is resolved very quickly in general, and I do not see why we should absolutely refuse this system. Contend ID is becoming more and more popular, and the biggest sites are accepting it. It is more and more integrated into the mindset of customers.

Also if Youtube is banned in China, I don’t see why 100AUDIO should care about that. Foreign clients who may receive a claim are fully aware of this practice.
All the authors and the sites work more and more together, with the customers to make them understand and to help them in the possible steps.

Hi, dont worry, maybe i have worried to soon because i dont know your company yet. I have been reading some post and i have noticed that 100audio dont put their music catalogue into the CONTENT ID. I say this because i dont want to be in it.
Some companies DONT want musicians with music in CONTENT ID, other companies dont mind you are in it, and other companies put their catalogue into the COntent ID.
As youtube is banned ( for the moment ) in China, i assume 100audio will not put their catalogue in it, because i am not in it, and dont want to be ( for the moment…he,he ).
I refuse this system because youtube changes his rules, few times every year and sometimes in surprising and unespected ways”. The thing is “not beeing in the system, is avoiding future surprises”.
Sorry that i maybe sounded worried or histerical, i just want my music to sound safe for the future customers, without unnesessary claims, hassles and worries.
    Have a nice day.
