Created in 2021, this work is a cross?disciplinary piece of world music that seamlessly fuses ancient Eastern intangible cultural heritage with Western musical modes. The entire composition takes “the animating spirit of all things” as its spiritual core, vividly depicting the grand epic of life—from its nascent beginnings and proliferation to its ultimate convergence in the harmonious unity of all beings.

[Arrangement and Instrumental Highlights]

The intangible cultural heritage mouth harp permeates the entire piece: taking China’s ancient, intangible “mouth harp” as its central motif, the rhythm unfolds from the profound, lingering whole notes at the outset, gradually evolving to raw, primal 16th?note bursts, with an emotional crescendo that evokes the vivid imagery of a film score.

Dorian modal color: By skillfully deploying the characteristic tones of the Dorian mode, distinct stylistic sections are crafted; each shift in tonal color evokes the awakening of a different spirit within nature, conjuring a mysterious and expansive sonic landscape.

Lively woodwinds and跨界 vocals: The arrangement ingeniously weaves rapid woodwind riffs and short phrases, evoking the vibrant, swaying vitality of plants; at the same time, it boldly incorporates vocals steeped in Funk, using rhythmic displacement and melodic embellishment to perfectly capture the dynamic interplay between modern energy and the living world.
