When creating this piece, I envisioned a decision?maker standing before a towering floor?to?ceiling window, gazing at the city’s skyline, with the entire team’s countless nights of hard work and unwavering dedication unfolding behind them. The music opens with a somber pizzicato in the strings and the faint, elusive call of the horns, like a force gathering just before dawn. Subsequently, the viola section and the cello voices layer upon one another, unfolding a steadfast and warmly resonant foundation. As the timpani roll joins in unison with the brass section—trumpets, trombones, and French horns—the music reaches its first minor climax—not a clamor, but a confident, assured proclamation. The string section unfolds a broad, songlike main theme, like an enterprise blueprint gradually unfolding. In the middle section, the woodwinds—oboe and flute—introduce a light and luminous interlude, symbolizing innovation and inspiration. Together, they surge toward an apocalyptic finale: the strings unleash a golden radiance in the upper register, the brass resound with triumphant harmonies, and the timpani and cymbals explode—such is the warm, unwavering victory of those who embrace long-termism.
