Major Cold
— Winter and spring alternate, star weeks and months.

The cycle of the twenty-four solar terms has reached the end of the chapter, and the severe cold has arrived as scheduled. This is the coldest season of the year.
When the song “Great Cold” was completed, the album “Twenty-Four Solar terms” took nearly two years from the initial conception to the final presentation. It’s the least instrumented piece of the entire album-just a pipa and guitar, with a synthesizer embellishing the atmosphere.
The guitar is played from beginning to end in a simple, fixed decomposition rhythm, such as the regular breathing in the cold winter. The melodic motive of the lute, on the other hand, speaks in this silence, like an undercurrent under the ice.
In such a minimalist arrangement, every sound becomes an extension of the artistic conception. Winter will be over, spring is not far away, everything is waiting in anticipation.
大寒
——冬与春交替，星周月讵存

二十四节气的轮回行至终章，大寒如期而至，这是一年中最凛冽的时节。
当这首《大寒》完成之时，专辑《二十四节气》从最初的构思到最终的呈现，历时近两年。这是整张专辑中乐器最少的一曲——仅有琵琶和吉他，佐以合成器点缀氛围。
吉他自始至终以简洁、固定的分解节奏来演奏，如寒冬中规律的呼吸。而琵琶的旋律动机则在这片静谧中娓娓道来，如冰层下的暗涌。
在这样的极简编排中，每一丝声响都成为意境的延伸。冬将尽，春未远，一切都在期盼中等待。
