Great Heat
— When does the red sun pass and the breeze is nowhere to be found?

On a rainy afternoon, I finally finished the long-awaited “Great Summer”. Before that, the piece had gone through several rejects, so it simply sat there, waiting for the creative inspiration to be reawakened.
The climate in North China has four distinct seasons, and the great summer heat is the most difficult time of the year. In the memory of the great summer heat of childhood, it seemed that even the air had solidified. The heavy rain came unexpectedly and dyed the world into a hazy place. The mud after the rain also became an indispensable mark of childhood.
Therefore, the cool tone of the electric piano, synthesizer accompaniment, crisp and grainy melody, is the endless cool expectation of this summer; and the string quartet, warm dream core Lofi texture of the guitar and electric piano, is to look back at the old days of dream and warmth.
大暑
——赤日几时过，清风无处寻

一个大雨倾盆的午后，我终于完成了这首酝酿已久的《大暑》。在此之前，这首曲子经历了几次废稿，于是索性搁置在那儿，等待着创作灵感被重新唤醒。
华北的气候四季分明，大暑正值一年中最难熬的时候。记忆中儿时的大暑，闷热得仿佛连空气都凝固了，大雨不期而至，将世界染成一片朦胧，而雨后的泥泞，也成为童年时代不可或缺的印记。
所以，冷色调听感的电钢琴、合成器伴奏，清脆且颗粒感分明的主旋律，是对这个夏天无尽的清凉期盼；而弦乐四重奏、温暖梦核Lofi质感的吉他和电钢琴，则是回望旧日时光的梦幻与温馨。
