Xiaoshu
— The sudden warm wind, following the small summer heat

As the saying goes: “small summer heat, big summer heat, steamed up and boiled down.” With the advent of the solar term, the hottest period of the year began. The scorching sun scorched the earth, the sultry was like an invisible curtain wrapped in the four fields, and all things in the world accumulated energy in the restlessness.
This song “Little Summer Heat” was created by me using a combination of 3/4 and 5/4. This irregular combination of beats, like cicadas singing in summer, is messy and without losing vitality, and also fits people’s anxious mood in the heat.
In the choice of instruments, I use cold-toned plucked instruments. The timbre of such instruments is clear and melodious, as if the breeze blows, bringing a touch of coolness and tranquility to the hot summer.
小暑
——倏忽温风至，因循小暑来

俗话说：“小暑大暑，上蒸下煮。”随着小暑节气降临，一年之中最热时期拉开帷幕。灼灼烈日炙烤大地，闷热如无形帷幔包裹四野，天地万物在躁动中积蓄能量。
这首《小暑》，我采用3/4和5/4的复合拍进行创作。这种不规则的节拍组合，仿佛夏日里的蝉鸣，凌乱而又不失生命力，也契合了人们在酷暑中那份焦躁的心情。
在乐器的选择上，我使用冷色调的拨弦类乐器。这类乐器的音色清澈而悠扬，仿佛清风拂过，给炎热的夏日带来一丝清凉与宁静。
