Hi there,
I was about to upload more tracks to meet the ones that didn’t meet requirements to fill my quota when I saw that up until now, I haven’t had even a single sale.
As keen as I am to upload and get the advance, I am also reluctant to upload more music if this is the expected rate of sales per month.
Is anyone else having low or no sales this month?

Hi Dreamfullofzen,
You just have uploaded your tracks, but it does not mean you could have sales immediately, you know the time of sale is difficult to predict.
What determines music sales is often the market demand, you can refer to the sales of our website’s home page and get a knowledge of the mainstream demand of the Chinese music market, then you can do more these styles of music.

Well, no I uploaded my tracks during february.. it’s now March. Considering the advance program I assumed that on average people got a few sales per month, So I am curious if this is the case or not.
Thanks for the tip, and yes I would happily make music in those styles if I can see the site is generating good sales for the composers monthly. However it’s not in my interest to spend 40+ hours making a single cue and tying it up to an exclusive deal for 3 years and it not making any revenue. Hence my question to the forum.

Well.. this month I have some nice sales till now.. saturday one sale, sunday one more sale.. wanting to expand my portfolio.

I’m not looking for an advance either. For me, real sales are important.
totally agree, focusing to do great new stuff, learning a lot in the way, taking attention for the real things.
Main thing is to understand the chinese market is not the euro/US market… which explains my lack of sales really.. most of my stuff is niche movie/film stuff, which for the most part doesn’t fit into their advertising or broadcase genres…
I didn’t think about that when uploading my stuff (my own fault, hence why I can’t really grumble about a lack of sales). I thought being niche and different from other producers would be an advantage but that’s not proven to be the case. I am betting modern sounding pop, electronic & ambient styles will probably be the kinds of things to focus on when writing for this site.
Yeah.. I think they appreciate original and different stuff,, not to try to use templates and simple variations. I think they want solid melodic lines and progressions. This is my impression.
Good luck!It takes time depending on market demands. It took me three months before I had my first sale. I never had any problems with 100Audio. It’s great and I look forward to working with them for years to come.
When I first saw this site I had a feeling of distrust, but I decided to try. At the moment I see that the 100 audio team is trying to create the most comfortable conditions for all participants.

Hi Craft! 🙂honestly this site is far more honest and upfront, unlike other sites (we all know the one(s) I’m talking about)…
One of them in particular refused my works.. which were all hollywood trailers, saying it wasn’t good enough.. and it took them 3 weeks to review my stuff… was a joke.
Things here are very good.. I’ve had no sales but again my music is niche.. I plan to sit down this coming month and make stuff more current and suitable for the chinese market.
