Just thought to share my experience so far in uploading a 120+ batch of tracks.
My batch of zipped tracks was 2.6 Gigs, more or less. My upload rate can get to 2Mbit, so it works good in cases a certain platform can handle it.
Thought about dropping the whole batch and to let it upload overnight but I’ve noticed errors – Certain tracks showed an errors and weren’t uploaded. So, I started doing batch uploads of 20 zip files a batch. In each one there were random tracks that showed errors and I had to reupload them 2-3 times more until they got through. The good thing about 100audio is there are no categories of music and styles to fill. It’s very common in Royalty free music sites, for the composer to categorize their music by genre, style etc. It can be extremely tidious, and unusful, from my experience. First of all, you can never have enough genres and styles to match for a certain music track, and the composer is forced to pick something to be the closest to his style, which is often not so related. It really slows down the submission process, gives inaccurate results, and the client itself is not familiar with musical styles, and just punches in keywords that he thinks might work. Categorizing to genres and styles if at all, should be done by a moderator of a platform. In any case, the submitting process looks efficient, data wise.
Right now I’m submitting each track and there are difficulties there too. When I hit the “upload” button it takes time for the list of my uploaded track to show. It also takes time for me to find the track I want to submit from the list. I type the name of the zip file I’m looking for and sometimes it finds it in seconds. Sometimes it takes forever.
Same goes with the picture for each track. Sometimes All the visuals show at once and sometimes it’s thinking and thinking and I can’t see any images I have. Sometimes only after refreshing or closing and opening the window the images show.Like some guys before, here, I also get this fatal error when submitting, after all the data is filled. After refreshing and filling everything from the top again, it goes through.
Some thoughts:
1. Would be nice if the upload window would show only the unsubmitted files. Just the new ones
2. I have the description and tags in an Excel document. And copy paste the info. When I copy a cell from excel and paste it to the “description” field it’s being copied in a strange frame in a wrong format. It works fine for the “tags” field though. Only If I copy just the text from the Excel cell, and not the cell itself, I can paste it fine.
3. FTP upload (I haven’t noticed if you have it or not) would be nice. When uploading large amount of files it works better than a browser upload.
4. Batch editing – Most of my tracks have variations – 60,30,15sec versions, loops, and alternative versions. Around 10 files for each track. If I wanted to upload all of the versions for one track it would be very complicated. One more example is Sound effects. I have 400 win game musical phrases sounds. Their descriptions and kewords are the same, just the names vary in numbers – “Win game level 01, Win game level 02…..”
If I could batch edit them, I wouldn’t have to go through each of them after submitting. Right now it’s the main reason I don’t upload these.
5. AFter the submission is OK, the window stays the same, with all the data of the submitted track still showing. Sometimes it stays the same after you hit “Refresh” and only after I go to a different tab and come back to the “add music” tab, the fields are empty again.
I think after the track submission is successful, it should ask you if you want to submit another track and if so, to open a fresh page with empty fields, or take you to a different page, if you chose not to submit a new track. That’s all for now. I know the site is new, and there are issues. Glad for the oppourtunity to get exposure to the Asian market and I wish you to grow and succeed.

The recent work is too busy, I reply one by one~“The good thing about 100audio is there are no categories of music and styles to fill. ”
In fact, at the beginning of our team did not get approval.
Many programmers believe that music should belong to a certain category
They do not know the music is diversified, it is difficult to accurately divide the music to a category
If you are not a musician, it may be difficult to understand this situation, fortunately I was a musician, now is a programmer(I do not work well, so switch to programmers)So, music is not software, not APP, it can not belong to a category, but should be diversified, thank you for your approval,
I will give your advice to my colleagues to see:)06/01/2017 16:49 #408565On the other side of the spectrum, there’s one audio stock market that has a HUGE number of genre and style category. When you are bulk submitting, finding something in there was also painful, as they had genres you didn’t know even exist.
From my experience, a client should have a simple set of options to screen for the desired piece – tempo (slow, med, fast), mood (happy, sad, angry…), length, and a freestyle search for keywords. Maybe also categorizing by recently added, most popular and best match…
p.s. if you were a musician and became a programmer, you’re destined to go back being a musician 🙂
