100Audio’s announcement on regulating copyrighted music creation and severely cracking down on the abuse of AI works
Dear musicians:
With the rapid development of music artificial intelligence (AI) technology, we have noticed that a certain number of AI-generated music works have appeared on the market recently. Although scientific and technological progress has brought new creative possibilities, the emergence of a large number of unauthorized or non-compliant AI music works on the market has brought unprecedented challenges to the field of music copyright, which may especially affect the level playing field. It has caused impact and damaged the legitimate rights and interests of many artists who have worked hard and carefully created music works.
As a music company that adheres to a strict copyright concept, 100Audio is always committed to safeguarding the core interests of original authors and ensuring the fairness and transparency of the music market. In view of the current situation, in order to curb the use of AI technology to quickly batch generate music works and illegally upload them to various platforms, thus destroying the copyright order, we have decided to implement a series of strict measures:
Strict review of copyright: Uploading music must provide clear and complete copyright proof, including but not limited to the complete midi file or split-track audio corresponding to the music. If the proof file is too simple, it will not pass the review.
Severely crack down on abuse: We will severely deal with any author who uses AI to generate music without legal authorization and uploads it to 100Audio through various methods with the intention of confusing the public and gaining unfair competitive advantages in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and company policies. , including but not limited to removal of the involved works, warnings and even permanent bans on relevant accounts.
Here, we urge all music creators to respond actively and jointly maintain a good music copyright ecological environment, so that every song and every melody can carry its due value and honor. 100Audio will continue to pay attention to the development of music technology, and accordingly adjust and improve our copyright management strategies in a timely manner to adapt to changes in the times and better serve every partner who loves music and respects copyright.
Music creators and users are kindly requested to pay close attention to relevant policy updates and work together to build a fair and healthy music copyright market!
Special announcement!

04/02/2024 17:28 #3778985Hi,WarmSound
We have recently been strictly investigating this issue to prevent too many fake authors from occupying the exposure of normal musicians.
This kind of opportunistic behavior will constitute malicious competition for musicians who work hard to create.04/03/2024 03:46 #3779379This is a very good initiative, that said, speaking of copyright, what about remuneration, do you transmit the information to the organizations and companies that manage our rights in our country, for fair remuneration?

Thank you for your feedback, I have forwarded your comments to the operations department
04/06/2024 19:14 #3781436This is very good news, I applaud you guys for stepping in and backing the actual artists.
I have a few thoughts on the methods for checking for AI works:
Even a bad producer can just take an AI generated piece of music and remake it in their own DAW pretty fast, thus being able to provide both the MIDI and audio files to pass the authenticity check. I’m sure not many self respecting artists will resort to this but you should keep in mind that it is possible.I don’t know what would be a better method for checking this, but certainly if a new account pops up and starts uploading too many songs that sound too generic or even sound like some other typical tracks in the particular genre should be a red flag for further investigation. You could probably ask the new artists to provide links to their online profiles like Youtube, Soundcloud, Spotify etc, to see if they are actually a real person creating music or not.
04/07/2024 08:19 #3781557Hi 100audio team,
I just have a question concerning AI, though all of my music that I upload are originally composed, my question is; is there any restriction concerning vocals sang by an AI such Vocaloid for instance.
Kindest Regards,
BlueSparrow04/07/2024 09:10 #3781559Hi,BlueSparrow
Our suggestion is to try not to use AI-related technologies in the near future, because there are currently no comprehensive laws and regulations in this field. Once there are copyright issues, there will be many legal risks that are difficult to define in the future. Our clients are involved in large listings. Chinese government departments have very strict copyright requirements.
thank you for your understanding04/08/2024 07:11 #3782300Hi ZhaoShiru,
Thank you for the clarification.
So it is not advisable to use Vocal AI, though the lyrics may be an original work and have been copyrighted by the original creator, is this correct?
Kindest Regards,

If you must use Vocaloid, you need to add special instructions to the certification document you upload to prove that your material is legally authorized. Otherwise, you may not be able to pass the review.
